Amidst the rising scale of COVID in Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow has reported two fresh cases and three recoveries in the last 24 hours. A couple from the Gomti Nagar area had tested positive for coronavirus yesterday, taking Lucknow’s active caseload to a total of 29 cases. Apart from Lucknow, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Ghaziabad, Saharanpur, Bareilly, Varanasi, Mathura, Deoria and Unnao have marked new cases on Monday, increasing the active caseload in UP to 155 cases.
UP records 19 fresh cases in 24 hours

While nineteen people were found infected with coronavirus in the state on Monday, six patients had marked their recovery on the same day as well. According to the health officials, 35 districts of UP have active cases of COVID at present. However, 53% of active cases have been registered in four districts only, read the report. Lucknow with 29 active cases, Gautam Buddha Nagar with 24 cases, Ghaziabad with 20 and Saharanpur with 10 cases hold the majority of COVID infections in the state.
Over 17.86 crore vaccine doses administered in UP so far

To eliminate the risk of another wave of COVID in the state, the administration is undertaking all the necessary precautionary measures against the spread of this virus. Amping up vaccination drive across the state, more than 17.86 crore doses of vaccine have been registered in Uttar Pradesh so far. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh, the most populous state of India has achieved the feat of administering the highest number of vaccine doses in the country.
