Undergraduate (UG) students of Lucknow University (LU), and its associated fleet of colleges, can now inquire for their OMR (optical mark recognition) sheets and tally, in case they’re dissatisfied with the given marks. At the cost of ₹300 per subject, the students can file an RTI and view their answer sheets based on multiple choice questions (MCQ).
Up until now, students could file an RTI to view their subjective or theory-based papers only. With this provision, undergrads will now be able to check their objective MCQ-based answer sheets, too, confirmed an LU student.
The fundamental aim of the Right To Information (RTI) is to promote transparency and accountability in the system.
