A Lucknow-based theatre group, Manchkirti Samiti is organizing a month-long mega theatre showcase – “30 Days, 30 Plays Comedy Theatre Festival”. The theatre fest will be organized between February 3 to March 4, at the Sant Gadge Ji Maharaj Auditorium, Sangeet Natya Academy, Lucknow.
A fresh comedy act will be staged everyday
The festival will kick off with a legendary play, Andher Nagri by Bharatendu Harishchandra. All the other stories which have been selected for the fest are by ace writers including Tapan Bhatt, Jayvardhan, Ramesh Mehta, Urmil Kumar Thapliyal, Ajaya Shukla, Amrit Kashyap, Vivek Chatterjee, Dinesh Bharti among others and have been directed by theatre-veteran Sangam Bahuguna.
The Lucknow-based actor-director has a long-spanning career in the field of theare and has also featured in multiple Bollywood projects like Madam Chief Minister, Dosti Zindabad, Youngistaan and Kaagaz.
Furthermore, with this project he and his team are also set to bid for the Guinness World Records alongside wooing the theatre enthusiasts of the town.
