Lucknow will soon undergo a bunch of changes to add to the list of developments and advancements in its architecture. For starters, the much adored Old Lucknow, including Aminabad, Kaiserbagh, Chhota & Bada Imambara and more, will be transformed into a Heritage Walk Zone!
Hussainabad area in the city will also undergo transformation along with the architecturally rich Chhatar Manzil and Residency.
State Advisor Keshav Verma, along with LDA Vice President Dr Indramani Tripathi and Municipal Commissioner Inderjit Singh, inspected the aforementioned areas and more on Sunday. A blueprint was thereafter prepared at the meeting held to take the work further ahead.
The proposed changes
This proposed historical Heritage Walk Zone will envelope monuments like Chhota & Bada Imambara, Chhatar Manzil and Residency. The area, including the park, near Lucknow’s Hussainabad will also be revamped. The shops set up at these places will be organised alongside the parking lot and a food court. Baggis and Tongas will also be provided for convenience of touring the nearby areas, once the project is complete.
Aminabad market will get a new look, as the cleanliness system is expected to improve with removal of any encroachments. The shops here will also be organised.
With the development of Heritage Walk Zone developing in the city, Lucknow tourism will gain a brand new face and the historically rich culture of the city will attract all the more tourists. Moreover, the architectural buildings will also get the much needed polish and treatment they deserve for preservation of sites.
