As many as 14 roads in Lucknow will be repaired and turned into smart roads. Budgeted at ₹99 crore, the roads will be reformed under the CM Grid Plan.
The plan includes removal of overhead electric wires, implementation of underground cabling with the help of ducts, covering of drains and sewage lines and introduction of footpaths on both sides of the roads with street furniture for people to rest.
Changing the face of the city via these roads in Lucknow
The reforms will also include development of greenery along the sides and in empty spaces, installment of LED street lights on both sides of roads and replacement of large transformers with smart and compact ones. Herein, drainage system is also expected to improve in order to avoid waterlogging.
Moreover, an alternative route via Park Road will also be prepared to streamline the chief minister’s visits to the Lok Bhavan Office.

-From Vibhuti Khand to Commercial Pocket Main Road from PNB Headquarters – 550 meters
-From University Road to Hanuman Setu Bridge via ARL Chauraha – 1300 meters
-From Gomti Nagar Ayodhya Main Road to Brahmpuri Gate – 600 meters
-From Behind Parshwanath Apartments in Vibhuti Khand to Apna Bazar Road – 350 meters
