Famed as the Atal Bhojnalay, this community food service is backed by the Gandhi Smarak Nidhi (GSN) and is scheduled to operate every day for the benefit of the needy.

Among the several community kitchens and free food facilities running across Lucknow, a new centre at Gandhi Bhawan has been lodged as the latest respite programme for the needy. A healthy, warm and nutritious meal is a recovery essential for COVID-19 patients and to facilitate this, the Atal Bhojnalay will offer daily food support for all.
Citizens who are not able to arrange or afford food amid the COVID-19 lockdown can avail of this service. The centre was inaugurated yesterday and it provides both lunch and dinner meals. The facility has a buffet for the needy, which will be served in disposable utensils to reduce the chance of contact and transmission.
This will significantly help all those who are trying to make ends amid the exorbitant health bills, people who have faced major job losses and other economical scourge. The aid is ensuring that each citizen receives a healthy meal, irrespective of the restrictivw protocols and other limitations of the corona lockdown and curfew.
