Built in 1976, this pink concrete edifice is in sync with the theme of Art Deco. Inspired by international aerodynamical designs in Streamline Moderne style, one can spot nine gemstone stars on the exterior of this architectural beauty. These stars signify the jewellery business of the Surana family, who are the present owners of Raj Mandir Cinema.
Along with dainty lights playing on the walls, it is also home to glistening chandeliers and a sweeping ramp, instead of the regular staircases spotted at theatres. The blue-hued carpets strike a sharp contrast with the pink-walled halls and the swirling plaster decorations in pastel shades, set the tone of this theatre!
