Students can now apply online for undergraduate courses for academic session 2022-23 in all government colleges across Rajasthan. The application portal for BSc and BA part 1 opened on June 27. As per the notification realeased, the last date of submitting the application is set to be July 9 and last date of verification of application is July 11th. The Department of College Education, Rajasthan released the admission schedule for the upcoming academic session on Friday.
Revised Admission policy for academic session 2022-23
According to the released admission policy, classes shall commence from 20th July. Provisional admission will be given to students as the colleges have to follow a set academic timeline, but dates are likely to be extended as the results of many education boards have not been released yet.
To make the admission process simpler, for the first time, admissions shall be conducted online for all government universities across Rajasthan. For academic session 2022-23, admissions in 450 Rajasthan government colleges for approximately five lakh eighty thousand seats shall be managed online. Besides this, eight lakh students will be admitted in two thousand private colleges following the new revised policy.
Another change seen in this year’s policy is that the percentage system has been replaced with the percentile system as admission criteria. Additionally, 25% fees exemption is guaranteed to SC/ST students. Book depots have been set up in universities to provide study material to students.
