Keeping in sight the convenience of travellers in the state, the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation is all set to begin its AC sleeper bus service (Gandhi Rath) from Jaipur to Jaisalmer from the 18th of December. This RSRTC bus will depart from Sindhi Camp Bus Stand in Jaipur at 11:30 PM for Jaisalmer and on its way, it’ll be crossing Ajmer, Beawar and Jodhpur. The bus will arrive at Jaisalmer at 10 AM, the next day, after which it will take the road towards the Sam bus stand at 11 AM.
Fare for Jaipur to Jaisalmer & vice versa, pinned at ₹780
Making way for its return journey, Gandhi Rath will leave the Sam bus stand at 4 PM and at 5 PM it will depart from Jaisalmer for the Pink City and reach at 6 AM the next day. Passengers travelling from Jaipur to Jaisalmer and vice versa will have to shell out ₹780 and from Jaipur to Sam stand, the fare has been pinned at ₹830. Commuters on their way to Pokhran and Dechu via the Jaisalmer-Sama Marg will also benefit from this facility of the RSRTC.
Earlier, as per the claims of the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation, about 50% of all the 5 state services run empty due to the ongoing pandemic and travel restrictions which come with it. Now with this launch, the roadways administration may expect the passenger count to go up, especially ahead of the holiday season.
