Acknowledging the difficulties that students are facing as a result of the second surge of COVID infections and the consequent curfew across the state, Lucknow University has extended the deadline for admissions. Now, candidates seeking admissions to UG, PG and other courses at the university, can fill the forms by 30 June.
Further, the University has also declared the results of several postgraduate courses in the late hours of Friday night. It is advised that students keep a tab on the official website for further updates regarding the same.
Deadline extended by a month
Lucknow University extended the deadline to apply for undergraduate, postgraduate and other academic programmes for the upcoming session. This extension is also applicable to professional courses such as BBA, MBA, BCA and BLEd, among others. Earlier, the last date for filling the application form was 31 May but now candidates can apply for programmes till 30 June.
This one-month extension has come as a huge relief for students seeking admission to the university. As per reports, Lucknow University has taken this decision in light of the ongoing second wave of corona and the consequent curfew, which made it difficult for students to access resources to fill the forms.
It is noteworthy to mention that this is not the first time that Lucknow University has shifted the deadline for the 2021-22 academic session. Before this, the last date to apply for admissions had been extended from 3 May to 31 May for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Further, for doctoral admissions, the last date was shifted from 3 May to 15 May.
Results of several postgraduate programmes declared
In the late hours of Friday night, Lucknow University has declared the results of third-semester students of MSc Maths, MSc Chemistry, MSc Applied Zoology and MSc Zoology. Students can access the results and information related to admissions from the official website of Lucknow University.
