Though restricted at 0.9%, the virus growth and contagious transmission in the Pink City made its presence felt on Monday when Jaipur recorded 345 fresh COVID-19 cases, higher than daily 249 recoveries. With this addition, Jaipur’s total caseload stands at 36,356 with 31,329 recoveries and 386 fatalities.
COVID-19 Clutches the Pink City leaving it Blue
Jaipur has yet again reported the highest number of fresh coronavirus cases across Rajasthan. Left blue in the wake of this active spread, the city currently has about 4,641 cases, the highest tally in the state. Though recuperation rate stands at 86.17%, the city continues to furnish higher fresh cases than recovered ones for two days in succession.
Rajasthan bans firecrackers in a bid to curb pollution!
Besides preventive protocol for COVID, the law enforcing bodies in Jaipur are also imposing the ban on all sales/use of firecrackers this Diwali with respect to the declining air quality which has been labelled as ‘unhealthy’ at 237 units. Besides banning sales and bursting of crackers, the state cabinet had also announced all temporary licenses issued for the sale of the fire bursts as invalid. The police officials in Jaipur sealed all shops selling firecrackers, as a preventive measure to curb its sale.
