The capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur has reported 35,319 confirmed corona cases till date and 30,329 patients have recuperated and gone back home. Within a day’s time, the city recorded 307 corona victims and as of today, the number of active cases is pegged at 197. As of 6th November, the state has conducted 38,44,472 tests and the active ratio stands at 7.8% while the recovery ratio is marked at 91.2%. Although the corona tally is on a steady decline according to official numbers, the city’s private and corporate hospitals are witnessing packed hospital beds.
30% beds reserved in Private Hospitals of Rajasthan

As per the situation in the city, corona patients are reportedly finding it difficult to book a bed in private hospitals for their treatments. Even the ICU section of the covid-19 dedicated infirmary, RUHS, was absolutely crammed this week. According to the health department reports, seven private and corporate hospitals in the city didn’t have a single bed available in the ward. ICUs and ventilators were running in full capacity in most of the hospitals and the new patients had faced distress due to this shortage.
For every 10 lakh people in Rajasthan, ~49,758 samples were tested and in the last one week, the number of new infections has grown by an average of 0.9% every day. Of every 100 confirmed cases, ~8 are currently infected and the cities of Jodhpur and Alwar are closely following Jaipur’s overall corona tally. Right now in Jaipur, 46 hospitals including seven government-run and 39 private and corporate hospitals are providing covid treatment. As per directions of the authorities, 30% of beds in the private hospitals of Jaipur are reserved for corona victims.
