425 people recovered in Kanpur on Friday
The second wave of the pandemic has started ebbing in Kanpur as the tally of cases has decreased significantly. On Friday, i.e., 21 May, only 84 confirmed cases have been reported and 425 people were discharged post-recovery. As a consequence, the tally of individuals who have recovered till now stands at 77,960.
Further, as per the latest reports released, 6 people lost their fight against coronavirus on 21 May. It is expected that the count of fatalities will decrease in the coming days. These updated statistics that are coming from Kanpur are a ray of hope during these tough times.
With Kanpur registering a decline in the number of active cases, the demand for oxygen cylinders has also decreased. Reportedly, the demand for oxygen refilling at Chaman Plant located in Dadanagar has reduced by more than 50% from 500-700 vessels to 250-200, over the past few weeks.
